What to Expect for Your Session

First of all, welcome! I look forward to hearing from you and would love to be of assistance on your wellness journey.

  • New private clients should arrange for a free 15 minute phone call to discuss their situation and goals with me before attempting to make an appointment, as some medical conditions contraindicate or restrict manual therapies or require a physician's prior approval. I will be asking about your health history and answering any questions about your hopes and expectations.

  • Please read the safety policies here.

  • I recommend an initial appointment of 90 minutes, which includes up to 30 min of in-person evaluation and discussion plus at least 60 minutes of bodywork, assuming the client is in a condition to receive for that length of time. Adjustments will be made to accommodate any health needs.

  • New clients will be required to fill out an intake chart and sign pertinent waivers.

  • If mobile services are provided, the space needs to be at least 5' wide and 8' long to accommodate the massage table. It must provide privacy to the client's comfort level. It must also be clean and quiet. Ask about other accommodations.

  • Lotion is not typically used in a craniosacral session, so the client is able to remain fully clothed or be comfortably draped.

  • If you prefer an in-spa experience, contact me or visit BodyCentre Day Spa in Costa Mesa, CA to book me at great rates. Tell the receptionist you heard about the spa through Essie's social media. Spa rooms are also available after spa hours upon special request for returning clients only; contact me directly for availability.

  • Payments may be made through Zelle, PayPal, Tap-to-Pay or in cash. HSA cards are welcome at the spa. I can also be booked through Zeel which accepts credit cards as well as HSA funds for in-home services and is currently a partner with the VA for veterans' medical massage therapy. N.B. Prices will vary with third party businesses.
